just like different fishes can be found in different grounds, also the acoustic tales of the micronaut take place in different regions of the emotional landscape: sometimes warm, sometimes fresh sometimes calm and stagnant, sometimes lively and floating. and just like all the fishes are connected by the water surrounding them, also this album has its connecting element: a very individual and independent groove. this groove comes with a lot of surprises. for instance, when a guitar chord from the acoustic band atmosphere of gruen- dling suddenly gets tangled up in a loop and introduces an unexpected but coherent change into the direction of broken, electronic beats. or when the emotional world music elements of schleie mix up with exciting halfstep rhythms. sophi- sticated arrangements, unusual instrumentations and intense emotions- these are the main attributes of friedfisch . though the experimental character of this work does not really aim the dance floor, it still keeps connected to this place: two sensitive remixes by mollono.bass represent the upbeat for an entire series, being exclusively released on vinyl.

uncanny the label that took everyone by surprise comes with more goodness! the third artist-ep by dresden-based label comes from house- and hip hop-mastermind cuthead and is nothing less than a proper power package. with vibratin things start off as deep as the bottom of the sea. underneath cutheads dense drums there is an intense and meditating synth line which is eventually complimented by an acid figure as if it was an evil twin. brother rolls in with a mighty kick drum, before a catchy sample and not less catchy piano motives prepare for a propitiating end. with transgressions and its bass line for the bigger floors things get down to house business once again. the remaining two tracks then give an impression of what happens, if cuthead takes to the mpc for his liveset. in seram lembah und heartless cuthead combines his drumming with south east asian disco-mantras und bittersweet blues chants to heavy hip-hop-grooves. loving it!

back 2 back is built around a spontaneous live jam by dj pippi, tucillo and kiko navarro in dj pippis studio on ibiza. in a few hours they had finished the track. the ep opens with tucillo and willi graffs dub, a muscular, driving, stripped down rework of the original for a popping dance floor. kokis back dub is also a floor tool that has been well tested this summer by kiko navarro with great results. the ep finishes with a very cool afriki soul remix by bhoddi satva.

the new phoenix g (pg039) is an excellent deep and hypnotizing release. relying heavily on one shot chords and thumping vintage drum machines this is one for the bag. the a1 concequences is a real deep one with nice open hats and good places chords. a real open mix for the late / early hours. the b1 is a real vintage percussive slammer with nice one shots that together create a real oldschool vibe. the latin vocal in this track gives it a somewhat different vibe,really good for the dancefloor.the b2 is a dark peak time anthem. this will go off at any quality house evening. what a strange but wonderful vibe those rhodes in the middle are giving.true analog deephouse by mr.g
